Ever turned a product around, read the ingredient list, and wondered what half of it actually does?

Yeah. We've been there.

In fact, that's a big part of how RAH/CEL got started.

We believe you should know what you're putting on your skin, what purpose each ingredient serves, and why it made the cut.

Not because every ingredient needs to come with a dramatic backstory.

Because if something is going into a product, there ought to be a good reason for it.

That's how we approach our formulas.

Every Ingredient Has to Earn Its Spot.

We're not interested in stuffing a jar with twenty different ingredients just so we can brag about having twenty different ingredients.

And we're definitely not adding something simply because it's trending on social media.

We choose ingredients based on what we're trying to create and what each one contributes.

Sometimes that's grass-fed beef tallow for rich, conditioning moisture.

Sometimes it's jojoba oil, beeswax, botanical ingredients, mineral salts, or an essential oil blend that gives a product its signature character.

And sometimes it's a functional ingredient with a name that doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

That's fine with us. We're making products, not holding a spelling bee. 😂

What matters is whether an ingredient belongs in the formula and helps the finished product do its job.

Natural Is Great. Understanding It Is Better.

We love ingredients inspired by nature. That's no secret.

But we're also not going to tell you that everything natural is automatically safe or that anything with a scientific name is something to run from.

Essential oils are natural. They can also cause irritation or allergic reactions.

Preservatives might not sound particularly exciting, but certain formulas need them to help control microbial contamination.

Antioxidants can help protect oils from oxidation. Other functional ingredients help give products the texture, consistency, or performance they're meant to have.

Different ingredients. Different jobs.

We care about the purpose, the amount used, and whether an ingredient is appropriate for the product.

Not whether its name looks impressive on the label.

No scare tactics. No miracle claims. No convincing you that an ingredient is magical because it came from a plant.

Purpose over popularity. An ingredient gets chosen for what it contributes, not because the internet says it's the next big thing.
Thoughtful formulation. We consider how ingredients work together, not just how they perform individually.
Honest labels. We want customers to be able to understand what's in their products.
Safety matters. Natural ingredients, functional ingredients, and finished formulas all deserve careful consideration.
Small-batch craftsmanship. We make our products with intention, attention to detail, and the willingness to improve something when it needs improving.

And we're always learning.

Research doesn't stop because a product has a pretty label and a spot on the shelf.

If there's a better way to do something, we're interested in finding it.
