A Little About RAH/CEL

How do you pronounce RAH/CEL?

It's rah-sell.

Not R-A-H-slash-C-E-L. Although we've heard some creative attempts. 😂

The name comes from my family: Rebecca, Anthony, Heather, Courtney, Ethan, and Leone.

Four children, one grandson, and a whole lot of heart behind one little business.

Family isn't just part of our story. It's literally in our name.

Where are your products made?

Right here in Florida!

RAH/CEL is a woman-owned, family-run small business creating handcrafted personal-care products in small batches.

No giant production lines. No mystery factory across the country.

Just plenty of research, measuring, mixing, labeling, testing, and occasionally wondering where we put the thing we were holding five seconds ago.

What makes RAH/CEL different?

We're big believers in asking one simple question:

Does this ingredient need to be here?

We choose ingredients for their purpose, not because they're trendy or make a label sound impressive.

We focus on practical products, thoughtful formulas, and being transparent about what we're using.

We're not here to sell miracles in a jar.

We're here to make good products that earn their place in your everyday routine.

Can I shop with you in person?

Absolutely! And we'd love to meet you.

You'll find us at select local markets and community events around the Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach area.

We regularly participate in the Halifax River Farmers Market at Tiki Docks.

Market schedules can change, so follow our social pages for confirmed dates, special events, and announcements.

Come smell the scents, try the testers, ask questions, and see what we're working on.

What if something is sold out?

Small-batch means exactly that: we make products in smaller quantities rather than maintaining endless warehouse shelves.

Sometimes a favorite sells faster than expected.

If something is unavailable, check back or contact us about potential restocks.

Trust us, we're usually just as excited to get it back on the table as you are.

Do you offer wholesale or collaborations?

We're happy to consider partnerships with boutiques, barbershops, local businesses, community organizations, and event organizers.

Ingredients & Formulations

Are your products natural?

Nature is a major inspiration behind our ingredients and formulas.

You'll find ingredients such as tallow, plant oils, beeswax, minerals, botanical ingredients, and essential oils throughout our product collection.

But here's something important:

Natural doesn't automatically mean safe, and a scientific-sounding ingredient isn't automatically bad.

Some formulas need functional ingredients to perform properly or remain stable.

We evaluate ingredients based on what they contribute to a product, not whether their names sound pretty.

Do you use synthetic fragrances?

Our scents are developed with essential oils and carefully selected aromatic ingredients rather than conventional synthetic fragrance oils.

We also offer unscented products for people who prefer to skip added scent.

Always check the individual ingredient list if you have a particular sensitivity or allergy.

Are your products tested on animals?

We do not test our finished cosmetic products on animals.

We do, however, have some very opinionated human product testers. 😂

Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?

We offer simpler, unscented options such as Gentle Tide Tallow Cream for customers who prefer products without added fragrance.

But everybody's skin is different.

Even familiar ingredients can cause irritation or allergic reactions.

Always review the ingredient list, patch test a new product, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Your skin gets the final vote.

Let's Talk Products

What exactly is tallow?

Tallow is rendered animal fat, traditionally used in soaps and skin-care preparations.

At RAH/CEL, we use grass-fed beef tallow in selected products because of its rich, emollient qualities.

It helps create moisturizing formulas that leave skin feeling soft and conditioned.

And no, your skin shouldn't smell like Sunday pot roast. 😂

What's the difference between Gentle Tide and Whipped Tide?

Gentle Tide Tallow Cream is our unscented option, made for people who want rich moisture without added fragrance.

Whipped Tide brings that same small-batch philosophy to our scented whipped tallow creams, with blends such as Coastal Bloom and Undertow.

Both are rich formulas, so start with a little.

Your skin doesn't need the entire jar in one sitting.

Can I use tallow cream on my face?

Our tallow creams can be used on the face or body, according to their individual directions.

However, richer products won't suit every skin type, especially skin that is prone to clogged pores.

Start with a small amount and patch test first.

Will my tallow cream melt in Florida heat?

Tallow-based products respond to temperature.

If your jar gets too warm, the texture can soften or change. Cooling may cause the product to firm up again.

For best results, store it somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight.

Translation: Your car in August is not a storage cabinet. 🌞

Why does my Porch Weather Salt Scrub separate?

Because it's made with salt and natural oils, and those ingredients can naturally settle or separate over time.

That's why we put the instructions right on the package:

Stir well before each use.

Massage onto wet hands or feet, rinse, and pat dry.

Keep the jar in a cool, dry place, avoid introducing water into it, and use caution because oils can make surfaces slippery.

A little separation isn't a scandal. It's just physics doing its thing.

What does Coastal Smoke Beard Balm do?

Our Coastal Smoke Beard Balm helps condition facial hair and provides medium hold for shaping and taming flyaways.

Warm a small amount between your fingers, work it through your beard, and style as needed.

Start small.

You can always add more. Removing too much balm from a beard is a considerably less enjoyable project.

How do your fragrance rollers work?

Our fragrance rollers are personal fragrances made with aromatic blends diluted in jojoba oil.

Simply roll a small amount onto clean skin according to the product directions.

They're great for keeping a favorite scent handy without carrying around a full-size bottle.

And with names like Mostly Sunny, Slightly Feral and Deck Around and Find Out, we clearly weren't interested in naming everything Serenity No. 4.

For external use only. Avoid eyes and irritated skin, and patch test before use.

Can I use your Paw & Nose Balm on my dog?

Our Paw & Nose Balm is designed for external use on dogs' paws and noses to help moisturize dry areas.

Apply a small amount as directed, avoid the eyes, and discourage licking until the balm has absorbed.

For cracked, bleeding, infected, or persistently irritated skin, check with your veterinarian.

Because our four-legged family members deserve good care, too.

Why does magnesium mist sometimes tingle?

Some people experience a tingling or stinging sensation when applying topical magnesium chloride.

Start with a small amount on intact skin and see how your skin responds.

Avoid freshly shaved, irritated, or broken skin, and rinse it off if the sensation is uncomfortable.

More tingling doesn't mean more benefits. Your skin isn't participating in a competition.

Safety, Storage & Common Sense

Are RAH/CEL products FDA approved?

Most cosmetic products do not require FDA approval before being sold. Certain color additives are an exception.

That doesn't mean cosmetics are unregulated.

We're responsible for following the applicable requirements for product safety, ingredients, labeling, and manufacturing.

We take that responsibility seriously.

Do your products treat eczema, arthritis, pain, or other medical conditions?

No.

Our cosmetic products are intended for their stated personal-care uses, such as cleansing, moisturizing, fragrance, and grooming.

We don't claim they diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical conditions.

For medical concerns, talk with a qualified healthcare professional.

Can I use your products while pregnant or nursing?

Because ingredients and individual circumstances vary, review each product's ingredient list and consult your healthcare professional if you're unsure about using a particular product.

This is especially important for products containing essential oils.

How should I store my products?

Most RAH/CEL products are happiest in a cool, dry place away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.

Always follow the specific storage instructions on the label.

And remember, we're in Florida.

If it's hot enough to cook an egg on your dashboard, your body-care products probably don't belong there either. 😂
