EPSOM SALT

EPSOM SALT

The Salt That Isn't Table Salt

Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate, named after the English town of Epsom and its mineral springs. Chemically, it is different from the sodium chloride in ordinary kitchen salt.

Why We Chose It

It dissolves into bathwater to create a mineral-salt soaking experience. We prefer describing that experience clearly over promising mysterious 'recovery' powers.

Good to Know

Epsom salt is not edible table salt; bath products should be used only as directed.

Fun Fact

Epsom salts once triggered a full-blown business feud: in the 1690s, scientist Nehemiah Grew fought apothecaries over patent rights to manufacture and sell them. Bath-salt drama is centuries old.
