Beeswax is produced by honeybees to build honeycomb. It is a naturally occurring wax that adds structure and a protective feel to balms and creams.

Why We Chose It

It helps give solid balms their shape, and it adds body to richer textures. If a product holds together nicely but still melts under warm fingertips, wax may be doing some of that work.

Good to Know

Beeswax is not honey. Bees make them both, but they are very different ingredients.

Fun Fact

Worker honeybees produce beeswax as tiny scales from glands on their abdomens, then transfer and chew those scales into building material. Honeycomb is handmade by insects, one wax flake at a time.
